Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #27114

Abd al-Warith ibn Abd al-Samad ibn Abd al-Warith narrated to us, my father narrated to me, Sulaym ibn Hayyan narrated to us, he said, I heard Marwan al-Asfar, on the authority of Anas bin Malik, on the authority of Ali, came to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, from Yemen and said, “For what did you claim for?” He said, “For what did you claim?” The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace. He said, “If I had not had a sacrificial animal with me, I would have declared it permissible.” Abu Issa said, “This is a good and strange hadith from this perspective.” .
