Mahmoud bin Ghaylan told us, Abu Dawud told us, Shu’bah told us, and Al-Masoudi told us, on the authority of Alqamah bin Murthad, on the authority of Abu Al-Rabi’, on the authority of Abu Hurairah, the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: “There are four things in my nation that are matters of pre-Islamic times, and people will not stop them from mourning.” And the challenge in calculations and contagion: A camel became mangy, so a hundred camels became mangy, from the mangy of the first camel, and the rains rained with such-and-such and such-and-such storms. “Abu Issa said: This is a good hadith.
