Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #27125

Humayd bin Masada narrated to us, Yazid bin Zurayi narrated to us, Khalid al-Hadha narrated to us, on the authority of Abu Qilaba, on the authority of Abu Asma al-Rahbi, on the authority of Thawban, on the authority of the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, who said, “When a Muslim returns to his Muslim brother, he will remain in the confines of Paradise.” And in the chapter on Ali, Abu Musa, Al-Baraa, Abu Hurairah, Anas, and Jabir. Abu Issa said the hadith of Thawban is a good hadith. Abu Ghaffar and Asim narrated What is more amiss is this hadith, on the authority of Abu Qilabah, on the authority of Abu Al-Ash’ath, on the authority of Abu Asma’, on the authority of Thuban, on the authority of the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, and similar to it. And I heard Muhammad said, “Whoever narrated this hadith on the authority of Abu Al-Ash’ath on the authority of Abu Asma’ is more correct.” Muhammad said, “And the hadiths of Abu Qilabah are only On the authority of Abu Asma’, except for this hadith, which I have on the authority of Abu Al-Ash’ath, on the authority of Abu Asma’.
