Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #27124

Sufyan bin Waki’ told us, my father told us, on the authority of Usama bin Zayd, on the authority of Muhammad bin Amr bin Ata’, on the authority of Ata’ bin Yasar, on the authority of Abu Saeed Al-Khudri, may God be pleased with him, said: The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: “Nothing afflicts a believer such as fatigue, grief, or illness, even worry.” He is concerned that God will atone for him his sins through him.” Abu Issa said, “This is a good hadith on this subject.” He said, “And I heard Al-Jaroud.” He said, “I heard Waki’ saying that it is not an expiation in worry except in this hadith.” He said, “Some of them narrated this hadith on the authority of Ata bin Yasar, on the authority of Abu Hurairah, may God be pleased with him, on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace.
