Hadith #27341
Qutaibah told us, Abu Awanah told us, on the authority of Qatada, on the authority of Zurarah bin Awfa, on the authority of Abu Hurairah, he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said. God has transcended for my nation what it has told itself unless it is spoken or acted upon.” Abu Issa said, “This is a good and authentic hadith.” The ruling on this according to the people of knowledge is that if a man talks to himself about divorce, there is nothing left for him to talk about.
