Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #27414

Muhammad bin Bashar narrated to us, Abd al-Rahman bin Mahdi narrated to us, Sufyan narrated to us, on the authority of Mansour, on the authority of Ibrahim, on the authority of Al-Aswad, on the authority of Aisha, she wanted to buy Bareerah, so they stipulated loyalty, so the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said, “Buy her, for loyalty is only to whom He gave the price or to the one who was given the blessing.” He said, and in the chapter on the authority of Ibn Omar. Abu Issa said, “The hadith of Aisha is a good and authentic hadith.” This is acted upon according to the people of knowledge. He said: Mansour bin Al-Mu’tamir is nicknamed Abu Attab. Abu Bakr Al-Attar told us. Al-Basri about Ali bin Al-Madini said: I heard Yahya bin Saeed saying: If you narrate on the authority of Mansour, you have filled your hand with goodness and do not want anything else. Then Yahya said, “I do not find anyone more steadfast in Ibrahim al-Nakha’i and Mujahid than Mansour.” He said, “And Muhammad told me on the authority of Abdullah ibn Abi al-Aswad.” He said: Abdul Rahman bin Mahdi Mansour said: The people of Kufa are most steadfast.
