Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #27415

Abu Kurayb told us, Abu Bakr bin Ayyash told us, on the authority of Abu Husayn, on the authority of Habib bin Abi Thabit, on the authority of Hakim bin Hazzam, that The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, sent Hakim bin Hazzam to buy a sacrifice for him for a dinar. He bought a sacrifice and gained a dinar from it, so he bought another in its place. He brought the sacrifice and the dinar to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, and he said, “Sacrifice the sheep and give the dinar in charity.” Abu Issa said the hadith of Hakim ibn We do not know Hizam except from this perspective. And Habib bin Abi Thabit did not hear from Hakim bin Hizam.
