Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #27368

Abu Salamah told us, Yahya bin Khalaf told us, Bishr bin Al-Mufaddal told us, on the authority of Abdullah bin Uthman bin Khathim, on the authority of Ismail bin Ubaid. Ibn Rifa’ah, on the authority of his father, on the authority of his grandfather, that he went out with the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, to the prayer place and saw the people taking pledges of allegiance, so he said, “O people! The merchants responded to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, and raised their necks and eyes to him. He said, “The merchants will be resurrected on the Day of Resurrection.” “Unrighteous, except those who fear God, are righteous, and are truthful.” Abu Issa said, “This is a good and authentic hadith.” It is also said that Ismail bin Ubayd Allah bin Rifa’ah as well.
