Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #27448

Ziyad bin Ayyub Al-Baghdadi told us, Abbad bin Al-Awwam told us, Sufyan bin Hussein told me, on the authority of Yunus bin Ubaid, on the authority of Ataa, on the authority of Jabir, that the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, forbade the muqāṭāliḥ, the māzābānah, the mukhtābīrah, and the thāna, unless it is known. He said: Abu Issa, this is a hasan, authentic, and strange hadith in this regard, from the hadith of Yunus bin Ubaid, on the authority of Ata, on the authority of Jabir.
