Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #27449

Abu Issa said: The hadith of Ibn Abbas is a hasan and authentic hadith. Most of the people of knowledge disliked acting on this. Selling food until the buyer takes possession of it. Some scholars have given permission for someone who buys something that cannot be measured or weighed for something that cannot be eaten. He should not sell it before he has received it. The strictness according to the people of knowledge is regarding food, and this is the view of Ahmad and Ishaq. .
