Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #27456

Ahmad bin Abdah al-Dhabi told us, Abd al-Wahhab al-Thaqafi told us, Ayoub told us, on the authority of Ikrimah, on the authority of Ibn Abbas, may God be pleased with them both, that The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said, “We have nothing like the evil that returns in its infancy like a dog that returns in its vomit.” He said, and in the chapter about Ibn Umar, on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, that he said, “It is not permissible for anyone to give a gift and take it back, except the father in what he gives to his child.”
