Hadith #26338
Muhammad bin Bashar told us, Bundar told us, Muadh bin Hisham told us, my father told me, on the authority of Yahya bin Abi Kathir, Abu Salama bin Abdul Rahman, on the authority of Jabir bin Abdullah, that Omar bin Al-Khattab, on the Day of the Trench, began cursing the infidels of Quraysh, he said, O Messenger of God I had hardly prayed the afternoon prayer until the sun had set. Then the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said, “By God, if I pray it.” He said, so we camped at Tahan. So the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, performed ablution and we performed ablution. The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, prayed the afternoon prayer after the sun had set, then he prayed. Then Maghrib. Abu Issa said: This is a good and authentic hadith.
