حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْخَلاَّلُ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، أَخْبَرَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، عَنْ سَمُرَةَ بْنِ جُنْدَبٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم نَحْوَهُ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ . وَالْعَمَلُ عَلَى هَذَا عِنْدَ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ يَسْتَحِبُّونَ أَنْ يُذْبَحَ عَنِ الْغُلاَمِ الْعَقِيقَةُ يَوْمَ السَّابِعِ فَإِنْ لَمْ يَتَهَيَّأْ يَوْمَ السَّابِعِ فَيَوْمَ الرَّابِعِ عَشَرَ فَإِنْ لَمْ يَتَهَيَّأْ عُقَّ عَنْهُ يَوْمَ حَادٍ وَعِشْرِينَ وَقَالُوا لاَ يُجْزِئُ فِي الْعَقِيقَةِ مِنَ الشَّاةِ إِلاَّ مَا يُجْزِئُ فِي الأُضْحِيَةِ .
Al-Hasan bin Ali Al-Khallal told us, Yazid bin Harun told us, Saeed bin Abi Orouba told us, on the authority of Qatada, on the authority of Al-Hasan, on the authority of Samurah. Ibn Jundub, on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace. Abu Issa said: This is a hasan and authentic hadith. This is acted upon according to the people of knowledge. They prefer that the Aqeeqah be slaughtered on behalf of the boy on the seventh day, and if he is not ready on the seventh day, then on the fourteenth day, and if he is not ready, he should perform the aqeeqah. On the authority of the twenty-first day, and they said that it is not sufficient for the Aqeeqah from a sheep except what is sufficient for the sacrifice.
