Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #27988

Qutaibah narrated to us, Sharik narrated to us, on the authority of Ali bin Al-Aqmar, on the authority of Abu Juhayfah, he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said, “As for me, I do not eat while reclining.” ". He said, and on the authority of Ali, Abdullah bin Amr, and Abdullah bin Abbas. Abu Issa said, This is a good and authentic hadith. We do not know it except from the hadith of Ali bin Al-Aqmar. Zakaria bin Abi Zaida, Sufyan Al-Thawri and more than one person narrated it on the authority of Ali bin Al-Aqmar This hadith was narrated by Shu`bah on the authority of Sufyan al-Thawri, on the authority of Ali ibn al-Aqmar.
