Hanad narrated to us, Abu Muawiyah narrated to us, on the authority of Ismail bin Muslim, on the authority of Abd al-Karim bin Abi al-Mukhariq Abi Umayyah, on the authority of Hibban bin Juz’, on the authority of his brother, Khuzaymah bin Juz’, who said: I asked the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, about eating a hyena, and he said, “Or a hyena eat someone.” I asked him about eating a wolf, and he said: “Or if a wolf eats someone there is good in it.” Abu Issa said: This is a hadith whose chain of transmission does not exist. We do not know it except from the hadith of Ismail bin Muslim on the authority of Abd al-Karim Abi Umayyah. Some of the people of hadith spoke about Ismail And Abd al-Karim Abi Umayyah, who is Abd al-Karim bin Qays bin Abi al-Mukharif, and Abd al-Karim bin Malik al-Jazari is trustworthy.
