Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #29944

Nasr bin Abdul Rahman al-Kufi told us, he said, Zayd bin al-Hasan, he is al-Anmati, told us, on the authority of Ja`far bin Muhammad, on the authority of his father, on the authority of Jabir. Ibn Abdullah, he said, I saw the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, during his Hajj on the Day of Arafat, while he was riding his she-camel, delivering a sermon, so I heard him. He says, “O people, I have left among you something that, if you take it, you will never go astray. The Book of God and my family, my family.” And in the chapter On the authority of Abu Dharr, Abu Sa`id, Zayd bin Arqam, and Hudhayfah bin Asid. This is a good and strange hadith from this perspective. And Zaid bin Al-Hasan Saeed bin Suleiman and more than one of the scholars narrated on his authority.
