حَدَّثَنَا عُقْبَةُ بْنُ مُكْرَمٍ الْعَمِّيُّ الْبَصْرِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي فُدَيْكٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي سَلَمَةُ بْنُ وَرْدَانَ اللَّيْثِيُّ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم
" مَنْ تَرَكَ الْكَذِبَ وَهُوَ بَاطِلٌ بُنِيَ لَهُ فِي رَبَضِ الْجَنَّةِ وَمَنْ تَرَكَ الْمِرَاءَ وَهُوَ مُحِقٌّ بُنِيَ لَهُ فِي وَسَطِهَا وَمَنْ حَسَّنَ خُلُقَهُ بُنِيَ لَهُ فِي أَعْلاَهَا " . وَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ لاَ نَعْرِفُهُ إِلاَّ مِنْ حَدِيثِ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ وَرْدَانَ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ .
Uqba ibn Makram al-Ammi al-Basri narrated to us, Ibn Abi Fudayk narrated to us, he said, Salamah ibn Wardan al-Laythi narrated to me, on the authority of Anas ibn Malik, he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “Whoever abandons lying while he is false, it will be built for him in the outskirts of Paradise, and whoever abandons disputing while he is right.” It is built for him in its middle, and whoever has good character, it will be built for him in its highest place.” And this hadith is a hasan hadith that we do not know except from the hadith of Salama bin Two narrations on the authority of Anas bin Malik.
