Hadith #28173
Qutaibah narrated to us, Ja`far bin Sulaiman al-Dhab’i narrated to us, on the authority of Thabit, on the authority of Anas, who said: I served the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, for ten years, and he never said to me “Fifth.” He said: For something I did, why did I do it, or for something I left, why did I leave it? And the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, was one of the best. People are well-mannered, and I have never touched silk or anything softer than the palm of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, and I have never smelled musk or perfume. Better than the sweat of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace. Abu Issa said, and in the chapter on the authority of Aisha and Al-Baraa. This is a good and authentic hadith.
