Hadith #28204
Mahmoud bin Ghaylan told us, Abu Dawud told us, on the authority of Shu’bah, on the authority of Simmak, that he heard Alqamah bin Wa’il, on the authority of his father, that he testified The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, was asked by Suwayd bin Tariq or Tariq bin Suwayd about alcohol, and he forbade it and said, “We seek medical treatment with it.” So he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, “It is not a cure, but rather a disease.” Mahmoud told us, he said, Al-Nadr bin Shumayl and Shababah told us, on the authority of Shu'bah, with something similar. Mahmoud said. Al-Nadr said Tariq bin Suwayd, and Shababah said Suwayd bin Tariq. Abu Issa said: This is a hadith. Good, true
