Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #28336

Abdullah bin Muawiyah Al-Jumahi told us, Hammad bin Salamah told us, on the authority of Laith, on the authority of Tawus, on the authority of Ziyad bin Simin, Kush, on the authority of Abdullah Ibn Amr, the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said, “There will be a strife that will clean up the Arabs’ dead in the Fire. The tongue therein is stronger than the “The sword.” Abu Issa said, “This is a strange hadith. I heard Muhammad bin Ismail say: ‘No one knows of Ziyad bin Simin Kush other than this hadith.’” It was narrated by Hammad bin Salamah, on the authority of Laith, so he narrated it, and Hammad bin Zaid narrated it, on the authority of Laith, and he attributed it to the chain of transmission.
