Ali bin Hajar told us, Abd al-Rahman bin Abi al-Zinad told us, on the authority of his father, on the authority of Kharijah bin Zayd bin Thabit, on the authority of his father, Zaid Ibn Thabit said: The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, ordered me to learn for him the words of a Jewish book. He said, “By God, I do not trust Jews on a book.” ". He said, and half a month had passed before I learned it to him. He said, and when I learned it, whenever he wrote to the Jews, I wrote to them, and when they wrote To him, I read their letter to him. Abu Issa said: This is a hasan and authentic hadith. It was narrated through another route, on the authority of Zayd ibn Thabit. He narrated it Al-Amash, on the authority of Thabit bin Ubaid Al-Ansari, on the authority of Zaid bin Thabit, said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, commanded me to learn Syriac.
