Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #28362

Abdullah bin Abdul Rahman narrated to us, Sahl bin Hammad narrated to us, Hammam narrated to us, Muhammad bin Jahadah narrated to us, on the authority of Abd al-Rahman bin Tharwan, on the authority of Huzail bin Shurahbil, on the authority of Abu Musa, on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, that he said regarding strife, “Break your bows therein.” Cut your sinews therein and stay inside your houses therein and be like the son of Adam. Abu Issa said: This is a good, strange, and authentic hadith. Abd al-Rahman bin Tharwan is Abu Qais al-Awdi.
