Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #28379

Wasil bin Abdul-Ala narrated to us, Muhammad bin Al-Fudayl narrated to us, on the authority of Al-Amash, on the authority of Ali bin Mudrak, on the authority of Hilal bin Yasaf, on the authority of Imran Ibn Husayn said: I heard the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, saying, “The best people are my generation, then those after them, then those after them, then After them will come a people who will grow fat and love fat. They will give testimony before they are asked for it.” Abu Issa said: This is what Muhammad narrated. Ibn Fudayl, this hadith, on the authority of Al-A’mash, on the authority of Ali Ibn Mudarrak, on the authority of Hilal Ibn Yasaf, and more than one of the memorizers narrated this hadith on the authority of Al-A'mash, on the authority of Hilal bin Yasaf, and they did not mention Ali bin Mudrik in it. He said, Al-Hussein bin Harith narrated to us, Waki' narrated to us, on the authority of Al-A'mash, Hilal bin Yasaf told us, on the authority of Imran bin Husayn, on the authority of the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, and he mentioned something similar. This is more correct in my opinion than the hadith. Muhammad bin Fudayl, and it was narrated through more than one authority, on the authority of Imran bin Husayn, on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace.
