حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، وَغَيْرُ، وَاحِدٍ، قَالُوا حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الأَنْصَارِيُّ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ ثُمَامَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ كَانَ نَقْشُ خَاتَمِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم ثَلاَثَةَ أَسْطُرٍ مُحَمَّدٌ سَطْرٌ وَرَسُولُ سَطْرٌ وَاللَّهِ سَطْرٌ . وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى فِي حَدِيثِهِ ثَلاَثَةَ أَسْطُرٍ . وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ .
Muhammad ibn Bashar, Muhammad ibn Yahya, and more than one person narrated to us. They said: Muhammad ibn Abdullah al-Ansari narrated to us. My father narrated to me, on the authority of Thumama, on the authority of Anas bin Malik, said: The inscription on the seal of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, was three lines: Muhammad, one line, the Messenger, one line, and God, one line. Muhammad bin Yahya did not mention three lines of his hadith. And in the chapter on the authority of Ibn Umar.
