Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #28422

Muhammad bin Bashar narrated to us, Abu Amir Al-Aqdi narrated to us, Muhammad bin Abi Humaid narrated to us, on the authority of Zayd bin Aslam, on the authority of his father, on the authority of Omar bin Al-Khattab, on the authority of the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: “Shall I not inform you of the best of your leaders and the worst of them, the best of them are the ones you love?” “And they love you, and you pray for them, and they pray for you, and the worst of your leaders are those you hate, and they hate you, and you curse them, and they curse you.” Abu Issa said: This is a strange hadith. We do not know it except from the hadith of Muhammad bin Abi Humayd. Muhammad is weakened due to his memorization.
