Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #27347

Ahmad bin Muhammad told us, Ibn Al-Mubarak told us, Ibn Abi Dhib told us, on the authority of Al-Harith bin Abdul Rahman, on the authority of Hamza Ibn Abdullah Ibn Omar, on the authority of Ibn Omar, he said: I was having a relationship with a woman I loved, but my father hated her, so my father ordered me to divorce her, but I refused. So I mentioned that to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and he said, “O Abdullah bin Omar, divorce your wife.” Abu Issa said: This is a good and authentic hadith. We know it from the hadith of Ibn Abi Dhib.
