Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #28545

Mahmoud bin Ghaylan told us, Yahya bin Adam told us, Sufyan told us, on the authority of Asim, on the authority of Zirr bin Hubaysh, on the authority of Safwan bin Assal, he said A Bedouin with a loud voice came and said, “O Muhammad, the man loves people when he joins them.” Then the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “A person is with the one he loves.” Abu Issa said, “This is a hasan and authentic hadith.” Ahmad ibn Abdah al-Dhabi narrated to us. Hammad ibn Zaid, on the authority of Asim, on the authority of Zirr, on the authority of Safwan bin Assal, on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, similar to the hadith of Mahmoud.
