حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلاَنَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا وَائِلٍ، يَقُولُ قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ مَا رَأَيْتُ الْوَجَعَ عَلَى أَحَدٍ أَشَدَّ مِنْهُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ ‏.‏
Mahmoud bin Ghaylan told us, Abu Dawud told us, Shu’bah told us, on the authority of Al-A’mash, he said I heard Abu Wael, saying: Aisha said what I have seen the pain for anyone more severe than it was for the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace. Abu Issa said: This is a good and authentic hadith.
