Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #28675

Abu Hafs narrated to us, Amr bin Ali narrated to us, Yahya bin Saeed Al-Qattan narrated to us, Al-Mughirah bin Abi Qurrah Al-Sadusi narrated to us, he said: I heard Anas bin Malik, he says: A man said, O Messenger of God, “reason it and put my trust in it, or let it go and put my trust in it.” He said, “reason it and put my trust in it.” He said: Amr ibn Ali said: Yahya said, “This is an objectionable hadith to me.” Abu Issa said, “This is a strange hadith from the hadith of Anas. We do not know it except from this.” It was narrated on the authority of Amr ibn Umayyah al-Dhamri, on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, something similar to this.
