Hadith #26491
Hanad narrated to us, Waki’ narrated to us, on the authority of Shu’bah, on the authority of Abu Al-Tayyah Al-Daba’i, who said: I heard Anas bin Malik say: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, was He mingled with us to the point where he would say to a younger brother of mine, “O Abu Umair, Al-Naghir did not do this.” He said, “A rug was spread out for us and he prayed over it.” He said: On the authority of Ibn Abbas, Abu Issa said: The hadith of Anas is a good and authentic hadith. This is acted upon by most of the people of Knowledge among the Companions of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and those after them did not see any harm in praying on a rug or a rug. This is what Ahmad and Ishaq say. The name of Abu Al-Tayyah is Yazid bin Humaid.
