Hadith #28784
Abu Ubaidah bin Abi Al-Safar told us - and his name is Ahmad bin Abdullah Al-Hamdani Al-Kufi - he said: Hajjaj bin Muhammad told us, on the authority of Yunus bin Abu Ishaq, on the authority of Abu Ishaq al-Hamdani, on the authority of Abu Juhayfah, on the authority of Ali, on the authority of the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, who said: “Whoever harms someone So his punishment in this world hastened, for God is more just than to bestow punishment upon His servant in the Hereafter. And whoever commits a wrongdoing, God will cover him and pardon him. God is too generous to go back on something He has pardoned.” Abu Issa said, “And this is a good, strange, and authentic hadith.” People of knowledge: We do not know of anyone who declared anyone to be an infidel due to adultery, theft, or drinking alcohol.
