Ibn Abi Umar narrated to us, Sufyan narrated to us, on the authority of Amr bin Dinar, on the authority of Ikrimah, on the authority of Ibn Abbas, in his saying: (And We did not make “The vision which we have shown you is nothing but a trial for the people.” He said, “It is an eye-vision that I showed the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, on the night he was taken on the journey to the Holy House.” He said: (The cursed tree in the Qur’an) is the tree of Zaqqum. He said this is a good and authentic hadith.
