Al-Hussein bin Al-Hasan Al-Marwazi narrated to us, in Mecca, and Ibrahim bin Saeed Al-Jawhari narrated to us, saying: Al-Ahwas bin Jawab narrated to us, on the authority of Sa’ir bin Al-Khams, on the authority of Suleiman Al-Taymi, on the authority of Abu Uthman Al-Nahdi, on the authority of Usama bin Zayd, he said: The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: “Who A kindness was done to him, and he said to the one who did it, “May God reward you with good,” for he has conveyed the praise.” Abu Issa said, “This is a good, good, strange hadith.” We know it from the hadith of Usama bin Zayd, except through this route. It was narrated on the authority of Abu Hurairah, on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace. I asked Muhammad, but he did not recognize him. Abd al-Rahim ibn Hazim al-Balkhi told me, saying: I heard al-Makki ibn Ibrahim say, “We were with Ibn Jurayj.” Al-Makki, then a beggar came and asked him, and Ibn Jurayj said to his treasurer, “Give him a dinar.” He said, “I only have a dinar if I give him.” You and your family were hungry. He said, so he got angry and said, “Give it to him.” Al-Makki said, “We were with Ibn Jurayj when a man came to him with a letter and a bundle. Some of his brothers sent to him, and in the book, I sent fifty dinars. He said, Ibn Jurayj untied the bundle and counted it, and behold, it was one. And fifty dinars. He said, Ibn Jurayj said to his treasurer, “You gave one, and may God return it to you and increase you by fifty dinars.”
