Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #29328

Muhammad bin Ismail, and more than one person, narrated to us. They said, Abdullah bin Salih narrated to us. He said, Al-Layth narrated to me, on the authority of Abd al-Rahman bin Khalid, On the authority of Ibn Shihab, on the authority of Muhammad ibn Urwa ibn al-Zubayr, on the authority of Abdullah ibn al-Zubayr, he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: It was called the Ancient House because no tyrant appeared over it.” Abu Issa said: This is a good and authentic hadith, and this hadith has been narrated. On the authority of Al-Zuhri, on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, on the authority of a mursal. Qutaibah narrated to us, Al-Layth narrated to us, on the authority of Aqeel, on the authority of Al-Zuhri, on the authority of the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him. May God bless him and grant him peace.
