Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #29395

Abd bin Humayd told us, Hibban bin Hilal, Sulayman bin Harb, and Hajjaj bin Minhal told us, they said Hammad bin Salamah told us, on the authority of Thabit, on the authority of Shahr ibn Hawshab, on the authority of Asma bint Yazid, who said: I heard the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, reciting: (O My servants who They have transgressed against themselves. Do not despair of God’s mercy. Indeed, God forgives all sins, and He does not care. Abu Issa said: This is a good hadith. It is strange and we do not know it except from a proven hadith on the authority of Shahr ibn Hawshab. He said: Shahr ibn Hawshab narrates on the authority of Umm Salamah al-Ansariyyah and Umm Salama Al-Ansariyya is the name of the daughter of Yazid.
