Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #29455

Abu Kurayb told us, Muawiyah bin Hisham told us, on the authority of Shayban, on the authority of Abu Ishaq, on the authority of Ikrimah, on the authority of Ibn Abbas, he said, Abu Ishaq said Bakr, may God be pleased with him, O Messenger of God, has turned gray. He said, “Hud, the incident, and the messengers have turned gray among me, and about what they question, and when the sun turns dark.” . Abu Issa said: This is a good, strange hadith. We do not know it from the hadith of Ibn Abbas except from this direction. Ali bin Salih narrated this. The hadith on the authority of Abu Ishaq, on the authority of Abu Juhayfah, is similar to this. Some of this was narrated on the authority of Abu Ishaq, on the authority of Abu Maysara. Abu Bakr bin Ayyash, on the authority of Abu Ishaq, on the authority of Ikrimah, on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, similar to the hadith of Shayban on the authority of Abu Ishaq, but he did not mention in it the authority of Ibn Abbas.
