Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #27600

Sufyan bin Waki’ told us, my father told us, on the authority of Mas’ar, on the authority of Zaid al-Ammi, on the authority of Abu al-Siddiq al-Naji, on the authority of Abu Sa’id al-Khudri, that the Messenger God, may God bless him and grant him peace, multiplied the punishment for forty sandals. Mas’ar said, I think it is in wine. He said, and on the authority of Ali and Abd. Al-Rahman bin Azhar, Abu Hurairah, Al-Sa’ib, Ibn Abbas, and Uqba bin Al-Harith. Abu Issa said the hadith of Abu Sa’id is a hasan hadith. Abu Al-Siddiq Al-Naji’s name is Bakr bin Amr, and he is also called Bakr bin Qais.
