Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #29871

Muhammad bin Bashar narrated to us, he said, Muhammad bin Ja’far narrated to us, he said, Shu’bah narrated to us, on the authority of Salamah bin Kuhayl, he said, I heard Abu Tufayl, He narrates on the authority of Abu Sariha, or Zayd bin Arqam Shu’bah - on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, who said: “Whoever I am his master, then Ali is his master.” Abu Issa said, “This is a good and strange hadith.” Shu’bah narrated this hadith on the authority of Maymun Abi Abdullah, on the authority of Zayd bin Arqam, on the authority of The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace. Abu Sariha is Hudhayfah bin Asid, the companion of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace.
