Hadith #29896
Abu Sa`id al-Ashjaj narrated to us, he said: Yunus bin Bukayr narrated to us, on the authority of Muhammad bin Ishaq, on the authority of Yahya bin Abbad bin Abdullah bin Al-Zubayr, on the authority of his father, on the authority of his grandfather, Abdullah bin Al-Zubayr, on the authority of Al-Zubayr, who said: On the day of Uhud, the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, was wearing two shields, so he got up. He went to a rock but was unable to do so, so Talha sat under it. Then the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, climbed until he sat on the rock and said, “I heard the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, say.” Talha made it obligatory. Abu Issa said: This is a good, authentic, and strange hadith.
