Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #29903

Mahmoud bin Ghaylan told us, he said: Abu Dawud Al-Hafari and Abu Nu’aym told us, on the authority of Sufyan, on the authority of Muhammad bin Al-Munkadir, on the authority of Jabir, may God be pleased with him. He said, I heard the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, saying, “Every prophet has a disciple, and my disciple is Al-Zubayr bin Al-Awwam.” Abu Nu`aym added to it on the Day of the Battles, saying, “Who can bring us the news of the people?” Al-Zubayr said, “I.” He said it three times. Al-Zubayr said. I. This is a good and authentic hadith.
