Hanad narrated to us, Abdah narrated to us, on the authority of Ubayd Allah ibn Umar, on the authority of Sa`id al-Maqbari, on the authority of Abu Hurairah, he said: The Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said, “If it had not been To make it difficult for my nation, I would have ordered them to delay dinner until a third of the night or half of it.” He said, and in the chapter on the authority of Jabir Ibn Samurah, Jabir Ibn Abdullah, Abi Barza, Ibn Abbas, Abi Saeed Al-Khudri, Zayd Ibn Khalid, and Ibn Umar. Abu Umar said: Jesus, the hadith of Abu Hurairah, is a hasan and authentic hadith. He is the one chosen by most of the people of knowledge among the companions of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and his followers. Others were of the opinion that the last Isha prayer should be delayed, and this is what Ahmad and Ishaq say.
