Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #29971

Sufyan bin Waki’ told us, he said Muhammad bin Bakr told us, on the authority of Ibn Jurayj, on the authority of Zayd bin Aslam, on the authority of his father, on the authority of Omar, that it was imposed For Osama bin Zaid in the amount of three thousand five hundred and an amount for Abdullah bin Omar in the amount of three thousand. Abdullah bin Omar said to his father why You preferred Osama over me, and by God, he never preceded me to the scene. He said, because Zaid was more beloved to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, than your father, and Osama was more beloved. To the Messenger of God from you, so I preferred the love of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, to my love. This is a good and strange hadith.
