Hadith #29972
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عُقْبَةَ، عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ مَا كُنَّا نَدْعُو زَيْدَ بْنَ حَارِثَةَ إِلاَّ زَيْدَ بْنَ مُحَمَّدٍ حَتَّى نَزَلَتْ ‏:‏ ‏(‏ ادعُوهُمْ لِأَبَائِهِمْ هُوَ أَقْسَطُ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ ‏)‏ ‏.‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ ‏.‏
Qutaibah told us, he said, Ya’qub bin Abdul Rahman told us, on the authority of Musa bin Uqba, on the authority of Salim bin Abdullah bin Omar, on the authority of his father, he said We did not call on Zayd ibn Haritha, except Zayd ibn Muhammad, until the verse was revealed: (Call them by their fathers. This is fairer in the sight of God.) A good and authentic hadith
