حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا يَعْلَى بْنُ عَطَاءٍ، عَنِ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ لأَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ يَا أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ أَنْتَ كُنْتَ أَلْزَمَنَا لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَأَحْفَظَنَا لِحَدِيثِهِ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ .
Ahmad bin Mani’ told us, he said Hushaym told us, he said Ya’la bin Ata told us, on the authority of Al-Walid bin Abdul Rahman, on the authority of Ibn Umar, He said to Abu Hurairah, “O Abu Hurairah, you were the most obliging of us to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, and we preserved his hadith.” Abu Issa said this.
