Abdullah bin Abdul Rahman told us, he said, Ahmad bin Abi Shuaib Al-Harrani told us, he said, Muhammad bin Salamah Al-Harrani told me, on the authority of Muhammad bin Ishaq, on the authority of Muhammad bin Ibrahim, on the authority of Malik bin Abi Amir, said: A man came to Talha bin Ubayd Allah and said: O Abu Muhammad, have you seen this Yamani, meaning Abu Hurairah? He is more knowledgeable about the hadith of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, than you. We hear from him what we do not hear. From you or say about the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, something he did not say. He said, “Either he heard from the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, something he did not say.” We listen, and I have no doubt except that he heard from the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, what we did not hear, and that is because he was poor and had nothing as a guest of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace. God’s hand, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, is with the hand of the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, and we were people of homes and wealth, and we used to go to the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him. At the end of the day, we have no doubt except that he heard from the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, something we have not heard nor found anyone with good saying about the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace. He did not say. Abu Issa said: This is a good, strange hadith. We do not know it except from the hadith of Muhammad bin Ishaq. It was narrated by Yunus bin Bukayr and others on the authority of Muhammad bin Ishaq.
