حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي زِيَادٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سَيَّارٌ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتٌ، وَعَلِيُّ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم
" كَمْ مِنْ أَشْعَثَ أَغْبَرَ ذِي طِمْرَيْنِ لاَ يُؤْبَهُ لَهُ لَوْ أَقْسَمَ عَلَى اللَّهِ لأَبَرَّهُ مِنْهُمُ الْبَرَاءُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ .
Abdullah bin Abi Ziyad narrated to us, he said, Sayyar narrated to us, he said, Ja’far bin Sulayman narrated to us, he said, Thabit narrated to us, and Ali bin Zaid narrated to us, on the authority of Anas Ibn Malik, the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: “How many people are disheveled, dusty, of two tambourines, to whom no one would care if they swore to God.” The most righteous among them is Al-Bara’ bin Malik. Abu Issa said: This is a hasan ghareeb hadith from this perspective.
