Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #30011

Mahmoud bin Ghaylan narrated to us, he said, Abu Ahmad narrated to us, he said, Sufyan narrated to us, on the authority of Al-A’mash, on the authority of Abu Wa’il, on the authority of Khabbab, he said, “We migrated.” With the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, we seek the face of God, so our reward falls upon God. Among us is he who dies without eating anything of his reward, and among us is he who dies without eating anything of his reward. Whoever has its fruit ripe, he can give it away, and Mus’ab bin Umair died leaving nothing but a garment with which when they covered his head, it came out. His feet, and when he covers his feet with it, his head comes out, and the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said, “Cover his head and put the dhikr on his feet.” Abu Issa said: This is a hasan and authentic hadith.
