Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #30031

Muhammad bin Bashar told us, he said, Muhammad bin Khalid bin Uthma told us, he said, Musa bin Yaqoub al-Zam’i told me, on the authority of Hashim bin Hashim, That Abdullah bin Wahb told him that Umm Salamah told him that the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, invited Fatima on the day of the conquest. So he spoke to her and she cried, then he spoke to her and she laughed. She said: When the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, died, I asked her about her crying and laughing. She said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, told me that he was dying, and I cried. Then he told me that I am the mistress of the women of Paradise, except for Maryam, daughter of Imran. I laughed. Abu Issa said: This is a good and strange hadith from this perspective.
