كَيْفَ أَصْبَحْتَ قَالَ أَصْبَحْتُ بِنِعْمَةٍ فَقَالَ لَهُ شَدَّادٌ أَبْشِرْ بِكَفَّارَاتِ السَّيِّئَاتِ وَحَطِّ الْخَطَايَا فَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم يَقُولُ إِنَّ اللهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ يَقُولُ إِنِّي إِذَا ابْتَلَيْتُ عَبْدًا مِنْ عِبَادِي مُؤْمِنًا فَحَمِدَنِي عَلَى مَا ابْتَلَيْتُهُ فَإِنَّهُ يَقُومُ مِنْ مَضْجَعِهِ ذَلِكَ كَيَوْمِ وَلَدَتْهُ أُمُّهُ مِنْ الْخَطَايَا وَيَقُولُ الرَّبُّ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ أَنَا قَيَّدْتُ عَبْدِي وَابْتَلَيْتُهُ وَأَجْرُوا لَهُ كَمَا كُنْتُمْ تُجْرُونَ لَهُ وَهُوَ صَحِيحٌ
How did you become? He said, “I have received a blessing in the morning.” Shaddad said to him, “I preach good tidings of expiation of sins and the removal of sins, for I heard the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace. He, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “God Almighty says, ‘When I test one of My servants as a believer, he praises Me for what I tested him. Then he will rise from his resting place, as on the day his mother gave birth to him, free of sins, and the Lord Almighty will say, “I have bound My servant, and I have tested him, and they have rewarded me.” to him as you used to do to him, and he is correct.
