قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: «من شرب الخمر لم تقبل له صلاة أربعين يوما، فإن تاب بعد ذلك تاب الله عليه، وإلا فإن عاد للشرب فتقبل منه أربعين يوما». لن تقبل الصلاة . فإن تاب بعد ذلك فإن الله يتوب عليه. وإلا فإن شربه للمرة الثالثة لم تقبل له صلاة أربعين يوما. فإذا تاب بعد ذلك فإن الله يتوب عليه. وإلا فإن قيل: يا أبا عبد الرحمن! ما هو "نهر خبال"؟ قال: نهر يجري في صديد أهل النار. Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) said, "Whoever drinks alcohol, his prayers will not be accepted for 40 days. But if he repents afterwards, Allah will accept his repentance. Otherwise, if he drinks again, then the same will be accepted for 40 days." Prayer will not be accepted. If he repents after that, then Allah will accept his repentance. Otherwise, if he drinks it for the third time, then his 40 days of prayer will not be accepted. But if he repents after that, then Allah will accept his repentance. Otherwise if he It was said, 'O Abu Abdur Rahman! What is the 'Khabal-river'?' He replied, 'It is a river (of Hell) flowing through the pus of the people of Hell.'
